In the Amish Baskets community, basket making is a hobby that is also a business. The Amish take pride in their work and you see that when you purchase a basket from them.
What is the origin of baskets?
There are a number of companies in the state of Ohio that sell hand-woven baskets by Amish craftsmen. These baskets come in a variety of sizes and colors or may be customizable. Some of these companies are located in areas such as Holmes County, Columbus, Akron and Cleveland.
Amish Pie and Picnic Baskets
These baskets are made in a range of sizes including small, medium, large square and round double and single pie carriers. All have swinging handles and a solid oak bottom and lid with knob. There is a choice of lining the basket with a liner (liner sold separately), or not lining it, depending on what you want to use the basket for.
Amish Corner Baskets
These corner baskets are one of our top sellers. They are available in either a red-blue accent color or natural and they are the perfect way to add some whimsy to your antique country decor.
Amish Napkin and Salt & Pepper Holders
These baskets are perfect for any bathroom or office to hold your napkins, salt and pepper shakers or other items that you need to keep in place. The handles are woven into the basket so there is no chance of them falling off over time. This heirloom quality piece will be a great addition to your home and a perfect gift for your friends and family.
